Carole Sinclair is the founder and owner of SMI. 

Prior to founding SMI, Sinclair served as President of the Sylvia Porter Organization; Publisher, Editorial Director and Co-Founder of Sylvia Porter’s Personal Finance Company; Chairman of the Marketing Committee and Member of the Publishing Board at Doubleday and Co.; and as Founding Marketing Director of the Denver Publishing Institute.

She has authored three books on business and finance and has lectured widely. 

She is active on a number of advisory boards.
